Brandon Dorsey, known as the artist Brand1, is a Chicago-bred, multi-disciplinary artist and event professional whose work spans just over two decades. Approach-wise, his work takes its roots in the spontaneity of everyday life, whilst illuminating the layered complexity of the scenes we walk through but rarely stare at. 

 

Brandon’s journey as a freelancer has brought him the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, dancing on the stages of festivals whilst building out others, painting murals through the night around Chicago, building ________ installations with the Pop Up Squad; the core of it is the same. Brandon’s work is personal; a continuous conversation between an artist, his audience, and the spaces we live in. 

 

This artistry doesn’t live just as a profession for Brandon— it’s a way of seeing, a way of being, but above all, a choice to continue listening to what the world is already saying. 

 

Brandon is one of the founders of the collective Circle Theory, a group of all-encompassing individuals around the world, all leaving their mark in their own artistic fashion.
